Auto Detailing has become very popular in the UK. A detail is much more than a wash and polish. Detailing is an intensive total renovation of your cars paintwork, removing most contaminates, swirls, scratches dull and faded paint leaving a showroom shine and saving expensive resprays.

We have two details available. A protection detail for new or as new cars and a correction detail for cars requiring the removal of paint swirls, scratches, dull and / or faded paint. So whether you drive a Micra or a Maseratti, detailing will ensure your car looks it's best and protects it from the elements and also retain resale value.

Prices start at £80 for the protection detail and correction detail starting at £120. After your chosen detail we can offer special deals on maintaining your car's appearance with wax top up.

Listed below are the main procedures involved in an auto detail. We use only the best waxes and materials to obtain the very best results giving durability and long lasting protection.

Wash & Drying

Multi stage wash cleaning wheels, arches, door shuts as well as bodywork using a two bucket method with grit guard and lambs wool wash mitts. Careful washing is the key to maintaining your vehicle. Most damage is caused to paintwork during the wash stage by dirty sponges, brushes and rotary brush car washes. Microfiber towels are used for the drying stage.

 

 Claybar

After the multi wash stage feel the paint, does it feel gritty . This is bonded contaminates which cant be removed by washing alone. A clay bar and special lubricant are used to remove these leaving a smooth glass like finish. Clay can also be used on your glass and wheels.

 

Paint Correction

Most cars would benefit from some degree of electric machine polishing to improve the paintwork. Various grades of compound are used to remove most defects such as swirl marks, light scratches, faded and dull paint.

Polish

This step cleanses the paint and will remove slight imperfections and will bring back shine and depth. Most auto polish has some 'cut' and can be applied by hand or electric polishing machine leaving the paint ready for wax and/or sealant.

 

Wax and/or Sealant

The wax and / or sealant stage will protect your paint from the elements. Carnauba wax is one of the hardest natural waxes and when applied to paintwork will give a lasting, durable and highly glossy shine. Dont pay main dealer prices for 'ever lasting' paint and total protection packs.

  • Paintwork clayed to remove bonded contaminants
  • Vehicle rinsed & dry again
  • Paint cleansed to prepare surface for wax / sealant
  • Apply wax / sealant to suit paint colour ( choice available )
  • Apply sealant to alloys
  • Glass & mirrors cleaned
  • Sheen tyres, exterior vinyl & arches

    Correction Detail

  • Vehicle pre rinse / foam wash
  • Alloys cleaned
  • Wheel arches & door shuts cleaned
  • Hand washed with wash mitt
  • Dry using microfiber drying towels
  • Paintwork clayed to remove bonded contaminants
  • Vehicle rinsed & dry again
  • Paint cleansed to prepare surface for wax / sealant
  • Electric machine polish with various grades of cutting compound to remove most paint defects ( swirl marks, light, faded & dull paint )
  • Apply wax / sealant to suit paint colour ( choice available )
  • Apply sealant to wheels
  • Windows and mirrors cleaned
